Potatoes with honey mushrooms fried in a frying pan

STEP 1
How to fry potatoes with honey mushrooms in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. I have store-bought honey mushrooms. They were frozen. They need to be defrosted in advance. If the honey mushrooms are from the forest, then they must be cleaned and washed.
STEP 2
Pour salted water over the mushrooms and bring everything to a boil. The water must be salted so that the honey mushrooms do not turn gray. Boil the mushrooms for 20 minutes, skimming off the foam that will form during heating. Then drain the mushrooms in a colander and rinse again with cold water.
STEP 3
Peel the onion, rinse and thinly slice.
STEP 4
Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat until hot. Add the chopped onion and fry it for a couple of minutes until a characteristic aroma appears.
STEP 5
Then transfer the boiled mushrooms to the onion. Stir and fry everything together for 3-5 minutes so that the liquid from the mushrooms evaporates.
STEP 6
Peel the potatoes and rinse them to remove dirt. Cut the peeled potatoes into strips and rinse in cold water. Then drain all the water. Why rinse in water? This is necessary in order to wash off excess starch from the potatoes. This will make the potatoes less likely to break when frying.
STEP 7
Place the washed potatoes in a frying pan and fry along with honey mushrooms over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally to prevent anything from burning. If you want fried potatoes with a crust, then cook them without a lid.
STEP 8
The finished potatoes will become soft. At the end of frying, sprinkle a little salt. Bon appetit!
