Pork schnitzel in the oven

Incredibly tasty and juicy, it just melts in your mouth! What could be tastier and more satisfying than a piece of meat?! Only a baked piece of meat. Pork schnitzels in the oven are much healthier than those cooked in a frying pan. And preparing them is not at all difficult. No one will remain indifferent!

Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make breaded pork schnitzel in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Take pork without bones. It is best to use carbonate, as it is very convenient to cut into portions. Eggs can be taken of any size.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the pork across the grain into portions 1.5-2 centimeters thick. All pieces should be approximately the same size. This is necessary so that the meat cooks at the same time.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Each piece of meat must be beaten. To do this, place the meat on a board, cover with cling film and beat with a culinary hammer. Why cover meat with film? This is necessary so that when beating there are no splashes from the meat and so that the meat does not tear at the edges.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Lubricate each cut piece of meat on both sides with a small amount of mayonnaise and leave to sit for 30 minutes so that the meat marinates a little. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use mustard or soy sauce.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

For the breading, prepare three bowls. Pour flour into one of them, breadcrumbs into another, and beat eggs into the third. Add a little salt and spices to the eggs and whisk everything lightly with a whisk. There is no need to beat, just mix everything.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Dredge each piece of meat in flour, then dip in egg and coat in breadcrumbs.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Prepare a baking tray. Cover it with parchment and place pieces of meat over the entire surface. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, the link is also at the end of the recipe.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The finished schnitzels will take on a golden color. If you want the meat to be slightly fried, you can turn them over during baking. Remove the finished schnitzels from the oven and place on plates.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Serve the schnitzels hot, complementing the dish with vegetable salad or sauce. Bon appetit!

I cooked pork schnitzel in the oven for lunch today. I was interested in this recipe precisely because the meat is not fried, but stewed, and it turns out to be less caloric. For cooking, I took pork ham, it is, of course, a little tough, so there were fears that the meat would not turn out soft and tender. However, the schnitzels turned out to be soft, juicy, tasty, covered with a delicious crispy crust! I prepared the schnitzels exactly according to the recipe. True, I marinated them in soy sauce, using it instead of mayonnaise, but the recipe allows for this. I baked the schnitzels in the oven for 40 minutes at 220° (I set the temperature based on the operation of my oven). It turned out great! Thank you so much for the recipe!
