Pork kebab with lemon and onion in the oven

No hassles - the main thing is to choose good meat! Pork skewers with lemon and onions can be cooked in the oven and served for a regular lunch or holiday dinner. This is very convenient - we marinated it for 2-3 hours (more is possible), an hour before the guests arrived, we skewered it and set it to bake. The fresh, sizzling kebab from the oven will be ready to serve hot! Serve it with plenty of herbs and vegetables, sauces, pickles and marinades!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Prepare the products according to the list: there are not many of them. The main thing is to take good meat from the neck or from the brisket, where it contains fat, so that the kebab does not turn out dry. So, take pork, onion, lemon, salt and pepper.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the meat into approximately equal, not too small pieces. Salt, add coarsely chopped onion - in slices, not rings, if you want to string it on skewers

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Thread pieces of meat mixed with onions, placing the fatty edge against the lean one. Press the meat tightly together - it will be juicier.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the kebabs over a rimmed baking sheet - by the way, you can bake potatoes or other vegetables underneath.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Bake at 200-150 degrees for 40-50 minutes (depending on the oven and the size of the pieces of meat).

This recipe turned out to be an incredibly tasty kebab. We really liked the marinade, but we grilled the kebab on the grill. The lemon-onion marinade is also good because the meat can be marinated in it for only 3-4 hours. This is enough for the meat to acquire an unusual citrus aroma. We took pork neck, this is the ideal meat for the perfect kebab, at least for us. Spices - a regular barbecue set. For 2.5 kg of meat we took 1.5 kg of onions. Some were ground in a blender, some were traditionally cut into rings and added to the marinade, then fried with meat on skewers. My husband did not throw away the lemons, but fried them on skewers along with the meat. The kebab ended up being tender, juicy, and flavorful. The combination of onion and lemon gives a unique taste. Excellent recipe, tested, recommended!
