Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

All ingredients should be at room temperature. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees. Remove the zest from the tangerine and squeeze out the juice. Sift flour with baking powder. Line the pan with baking paper and lightly grease it. Beat the butter until it lightens and slightly increases in volume, about 3 minutes. /The worse the butter is whipped, the denser the cake will be/

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

While whisking, add a pinch of salt. Next, add eggs and half the sugar one at a time so that the mass has time to become homogeneous. Then another egg and the rest of the sugar. As a result, the mass should turn out quite light and airy.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

No need for a mixer anymore. Using a spatula, quickly and carefully stir in a third of the milk and flour with baking powder from the edge of the bowl down and towards the middle. Add the zest and another third of the milk and flour, mix. And the last step - the remaining milk and flour (do not mix for a long time, since the mass will begin to settle and the product will not be as airy as you would like).

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the dough into the prepared pan and smooth it out. Distribute the cranberries evenly on top. Bake for about 30 - 45 minutes /check with a toothpick, dry - ready/. Let cool.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Only when the cake has cooled down, prepare the glaze: mix powdered sugar with half the juice, stir. If the consistency of the glaze is thick and light, it is ready. /If it’s thick, add juice, if it’s thin, add powder./

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour frosting over the cooled cake. Carefully remove from the mold and cut. Bon appetit !
