One of my favorite soups. Simple, tasty and filling. My husband loves no soup as much as pea soup with smoked pork ribs. I once heard the following opinion: “It is impossible to present pea soup well. Whatever one may say, it looks so-so.” I fundamentally disagree with this statement! This soup looks delicious and the aroma is simply mind-blowing! Not to mention the fact that legume decoctions must be eaten at least twice a week for good digestive system function.

    Wash the peas and soak in cold water for three hours. If you don't do this, get ready for a riot in your intestines!

    Pour oil into the multicooker bowl, turn on the Fry mode, 140 degrees, for 30 minutes. Chop the onion and carrots, put them in a bowl and cook, stirring, for 15 minutes.

    Then add the chopped pepper into squares, mix and cook for another 5 minutes.

    After that, put the washed peas without water, pour in warm water and cook until the signal, this is the remaining 10 minutes of half an hour. Then we switch the multicooker to Soup mode for two hours.

    Cut the potatoes into cubes, wash the ribs with boiling water.

    After half an hour, put the potatoes and ribs, divided into parts, into the bowl.

    Add salt and spices. Be careful with the salt, as the ribs are already salted. Close the lid and cook until the end of the mode.

Today, having made pea soup according to this recipe, I was once again convinced that soups in a slow cooker turn out very tasty! Instead of smoked ribs, I used fresh pork ribs. I soaked the peas for one hour before cooking. I chopped all the vegetables and first fried the onions and carrots. Then I added bell peppers (I had frozen ones - green and red). I fried the vegetables in the “Baking” mode, since the heat in it is not so strong, one might say, gentle, the vegetables fry slowly and do not burn (here I deviated from the recipe, which provides for the “Frying” mode). After the pepper, I added it to the multicooker bowl washed peas and one liter of hot water, continued cooking in the same mode. After 10 minutes I turned on the “Soup” mode. I added the ribs, potatoes, bay leaves and salt after half an hour. And after 1.5 hours the soup was ready. The final touch was adding garlic and herbs to the soup. I grated the garlic on a medium grater and took frozen dill from the greens. It turned out so flavorful! The dill came out just like fresh, very appetizing! And the soup is fantastically delicious! It was greatly enhanced by the natural sweetness of the carrots. And it got its rich taste thanks to bell pepper. I will cook pea soup with smoked ribs in a slow cooker again and again! Our family loves pea soup, but I usually made it with regular chicken broth. This time I decided to try it on smoked ribs and I was not disappointed. The dish turned out to be very spicy, tasty, aromatic and satisfying. Smoked ribs give the soup a special flavor and aroma. For a change, I definitely advise everyone to try it, and I thank the author for such a wonderful recipe!
