Sunny soup, I myself love the puree-like consistency, all dressing soups are somewhat similar to each other, but not with pea soup, it has its own distinct taste and smell, and even children adore it, it’s a miracle soup! You can see other chicken and pea soups here

When I started preparing the soup, I first washed the peas and set them to boil. I had split peas, so I didn't soak them first. As soon as the water boiled, I reduced the heat to low and, on the author’s advice, added a pinch of baking soda to the pan so that the peas could cook faster (sometimes I add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to the broth for the same purpose). After 25 minutes, I put the meat in the pan - chicken back and part of the breast. I immediately added seasoning for the soup, which I prepare in the summer season; it includes onions, carrots and tomatoes. I also added frozen parsley. After 10 minutes, I added chopped potatoes to the soup. I cooked the pea soup with chicken in a saucepan for 2 hours over low heat, and at the end added salt and bay leaf. During this time, the meat and vegetables were well cooked. The peas became soft, but did not turn into puree. The soup turned out delicious, nutritious, aromatic! We ate it with croutons. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Despite the fact that this soup takes a long time to cook, it’s worth it. I always boil the peas until pureed and I like to add something smoked to it, it adds a very tasty aroma and taste.

Today I made this super soup using homemade chicken giblets, how delicious it is, the peas were boiled to a puree, and the smell from the giblets was so exciting that I didn’t wait for my own, I ate the plate alone.

I didn’t even know that pea soup can be cooked with chicken broth :) My broth, by the way, doesn’t turn out quite right. Although I cook the chicken freshly, the loop is not frozen, and I cook it as much as needed. And I tried to cook it from different portioned pieces - well, something didn’t turn out right. I don’t even know how to explain, there’s not enough aroma, or what? What could be the reason?

Hi all! I would like to clarify whether the chicken fillet is smoked or fresh? Without bones, will the broth be water-free or should I cook the peas in pre-prepared broth?
