STEP 1

STEP 3

It should be a little sticky and soft. Place it on a floured work surface, cover with a bowl and let it rest. Meanwhile, make the pie filling. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees.
STEP 4

You can use any apples you like for this pie; this is a great way to use garden apples that have lost their beautiful appearance or are slightly damaged. Wash the apples, peel and cut out the core with seeds, cut the pulp into slices. To prevent the apples from darkening, you can sprinkle them with lemon juice, but too much of it can make the pie filling sour.
STEP 5

Place apple slices on top, tightly to each other, placing them vertically.

Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and sugar. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the pie for about 30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. To prevent the apples from starting to burn before the dough base is baked, you can cover the pie pan with foil. 15-20 minutes after the start of baking, remove the foil and let the pie bake and brown on top.
STEP 8

Remove the pie from the oven and transfer it to a serving platter. Let the cake cool slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea, coffee or milk. Enjoy your tea!
