Noodles with shrimp

A quick, filling and tasty dinner in half an hour. Instead of regular noodles, you can use egg noodles, as well as all other types of large and medium pasta. In this recipe, in addition to the usual ones, I used large Argentine shrimp for the first time - their taste is simply wonderful.

    How to cook noodles correctly? Pour water into a wide saucepan. When it boils, add salt (per 100 g of pasta about 10 g of salt). Cook the noodles over low heat, stirring occasionally. Do not close the lid. Boil until al dente (check instructions for cooking time). Give it a try. When ready, drain the pasta in a colander; do not rinse with water. To avoid wasting time, cook everything at the same time. While the noodles are cooking, prepare the sauce.

    For this dish, boiled peeled or unpeeled shrimp, regular or large Argentine shrimp, are suitable. Thaw seafood on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Clean if necessary. Drain in a colander to drain excess liquid. Peel the garlic and pass it through a press. Pour refined vegetable oil with a high smoking point into a frying pan and heat well. Sauté the garlic over moderate heat for about 30 seconds.

    Add peeled shrimp.

    Squeeze the juice out of the lemon (by hand or with a citrus squeezer), pour into the pan, and fry, stirring for about 1 minute.

    Pour in cream of 20-30% fat content. Stir.

    Simmer the sauce over low heat until thickened, about 5 minutes.

    Place noodles in the pan with the sauce. Heat the contents, stirring for about 1 minute. Turn off the heat, place on plates and serve while the dish is still hot.

I came across this recipe when I was looking for something that could be easily and quickly prepared from boiled shrimp. Noodles with shrimp turned out to be just such a dish. I had about 250 grams of shrimp. I used 10% cream for the sauce. I took the pasta with linguine. In preparation, I followed all the recommendations suggested in the recipe. The noodles with shrimp came out very appetizing, aromatic, with an exquisite taste. Despite the fact that my cream was not very fatty, the sauce still turned out very tender and creamy. It’s great that you can prepare such an amazing dinner in less than half an hour. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!

It’s delicious, but I would thicken it with something else and make the sauce richer.
