New Year's Horseshoe Cookies

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Everything we need to make cookies (vanilla tincture can be replaced with vanilla sugar)
STEP 2
I kneaded the dough using a food processor. Mix flour, powdered sugar and nuts (for manual kneading, the nuts must be chopped in advance). Mix everything.
STEP 3
Add cold butter cut into cubes and grind until butter crumbs (if you knead by hand, cut the butter into small cubes and rub it with flour with quick movements; there is no need to achieve homogeneity).
STEP 4
Add vanilla tincture to the butter crumbs (if you use vanilla sugar, you need to add it along with the powder) and yolks and knead the dough.
STEP 5
The result is a moist crumb (if the dough is too dry and does not come together, add 1-2 teaspoons of ice water).
STEP 6
We collect the crumbs into a ball (no need to knead), wrap them in film and put them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
STEP 7
Divide the dough into several parts (while we are cutting one, all the rest are in the refrigerator). Roll out part of the dough into a rope, cut it, and form horseshoes.
STEP 8
Place the horseshoes on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 12 minutes, until lightly golden. It cooks very quickly, so be careful!
STEP 9
Our cookies are ready! If desired, you can dip each horseshoe in melted chocolate. Bon appetit!
