Minced meat cutlets in the oven with cheese

STEP 1

How to bake cutlets with cheese in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For cutlets, you can use store-bought minced meat, but I prefer to make cutlets from minced meat prepared at home. In this case, the meat can be any - beef, pork, chicken, turkey. Just keep in mind that different types of meat will have different cooking times. Take any cheese, both hard and soft, the main thing is that it melts well and is tasty.
STEP 2

How to make minced meat? Wash the pulp (I used pork), cut into pieces and pass through a meat grinder with a fine grid. Place the minced meat in a bowl and break an egg into it. Wash the egg first so that dirt does not get into the minced meat.
STEP 3

Season the minced meat with salt and pepper, stir until smooth.
STEP 4

To prevent the cutlets from falling apart and keeping their shape, beat the prepared minced meat. To do this, gather the minced meat in your hand, lift it above the bowl and throw it back. Do this 10-15 times. At the end, you will feel the minced meat thicken and become more elastic.
STEP 5

Grease a thick-bottomed baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil. Form the minced meat into cutlets, I got four of them, and place them in the mold. Make a long strip along the cutlets. The shape should be slightly larger than the cutlets.
STEP 6

Prepare the gravy. How to make gravy? Place a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium heat. Put the butter and melt it. Sift wheat flour into the pan. Flour can be taken of the highest or first grade.
STEP 7

Mix flour and butter until smooth.
STEP 8

Add milk little by little, stirring well each time until smooth. Do not pour in the milk all at once; it will be very difficult to turn everything into a homogeneous mass.
STEP 9

Wash the greens and chop finely. Add it to the pan with the gravy. It can be dill, parsley, cilantro, any to your taste.
STEP 10

Stir, add salt, and cook the gravy until thickened, about 2 minutes.
STEP 11

Remove the pan from the heat and pour the gravy over the top of the cutlets and in between them.
STEP 12

Grate the cheese on a coarse or fine grater and sprinkle on top of the cutlets.
STEP 13

Place in a hot oven, temperature 180°C, and bake minced meat cutlets with cheese for 40 minutes, until cooked and golden brown.
STEP 14

Remove the pan from the oven and immediately place the cutlets on plates. Any side dish is suitable for them, and they can also be served with fresh vegetables.
