STEP 1
How to cook millet porridge with pumpkin in a pot? Prepare your food. Pumpkin for porridge is better suited for dessert varieties, it is sweeter. Take milk of any fat content, the fattier it is, the tastier the porridge will be, but at the same time the higher the calorie content. Take the highest quality, natural butter that complies with GOST.
STEP 2
Wash and cut the pumpkin. Remove the seeds from it along with the pulp, but do not throw them away, but dry them in a dry frying pan, they are very tasty and healthy. Cut the pumpkin into pieces and remove the skin. Be careful, the pumpkin is very hard, so it's easier to peel the pieces.
STEP 3
Cut the peeled pumpkin into small cubes.
STEP 4
Sort the millet, removing unopened grains and debris. Place the cereal in a sieve and rinse it thoroughly under cool running water. Then leave it in the sieve to drain the water.
STEP 5
Pour the milk into a suitable saucepan or saucepan and place on low heat. As soon as it boils, add pumpkin to the milk. Turn the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes without covering the pan.
STEP 6
Then add millet to the milk, add salt and sugar. Stir, cover and leave the porridge to cook for 10 minutes. Make sure that the milk does not boil away, stir it occasionally. Then remove the pan from the heat.
STEP 7
Take ceramic pots and put the porridge in them. Cover the pots with lids and place in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake the porridge for 30-35 minutes, depending on the size of the pots.
STEP 8
Remove the pots from the oven and place a knob of butter in each.
STEP 9
Serve the porridge to the table, you can directly in pots, or you can transfer it to plates. You can add raisins, chopped prunes or dried apricots, nuts, honey to the porridge. Bon appetit!
