  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make meat, cabbage and potatoes stewed in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can take loin, neck of pork, ham or carbonate. I have pork fillet.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the meat and dry well. Cut the meat into medium pieces.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan of a suitable size and add pieces of pork. Fry the meat over moderately high heat until golden brown. At the same time, turn the pieces over so that they are fried evenly on all sides. The crust will retain the meat juices inside, and the meat will turn out juicy. Salt the meat. You can learn how to choose the right frying pan and oil for frying by reading the articles, which are at the end of the recipe under the steps.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the pre-peeled onions and cut into small cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the carrots, wash them and cut them into small cubes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

In parallel, in another frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil, fry the onions and carrots, stirring, for about 5 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the fried vegetables in the frying pan with the meat, add a little water (3-4 tbsp), stir. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat and vegetables for about 15-20 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Wash the head of cabbage. If there are limp or damaged top leaves, remove. Cut the cabbage into petals. To do this, divide the head of cabbage into half-moon pieces, which are cut crosswise into smaller segments. You can simply chop it into large strips. Choose the shape you want to cut the cabbage.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add vegetable oil to the pan where the vegetables were fried and fry the prepared cabbage until half cooked.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Add tomato paste to the cabbage and stir. Fry, stirring, for another 2-3 minutes so that the tomato paste is evenly distributed throughout the cabbage.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Transfer the cabbage to the pan with the meat and vegetables.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Salt, add aromatic herbs, spices as desired, stir. Simmer the dish, covering it with a lid, over moderate heat.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Cut the pre-peeled potatoes into small cubes.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Fry the potatoes in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown and soft, add a little salt.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place the potatoes in the pan with the meat and vegetables, add the bay leaf and stir. Simmer the meat with cabbage and potatoes for about 10 minutes, stirring. Please note that the cooking time indicated in the recipe may vary. Focus on the operating features of your stove. Let the dish steep with the lid closed for 10-15 minutes.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Serve the meat with cabbage and potatoes immediately. Bon appetit!

I cooked meat with cabbage and potatoes in a frying pan for dinner. What interested me in this recipe was the cooking method, in which all the ingredients are combined after pre-frying. I usually cook similar dishes in one frying pan, placing ingredients in it one by one. It turned out a little longer this way, but much tastier. The potatoes were cooked perfectly without falling apart. The cabbage turned out soft, but a little crunchy. The meat is very tender and soft. For spices, I added half a teaspoon of paprika and a couple of pinches of turmeric. Julia, thank you very much for the recipe! Delicious!
