  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make meat in sour cream in pots in the oven? Very simple and easy. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can take beef pulp from any part of the carcass, fatter or vice versa without fat, decide according to your taste. You can also use sour cream of any fat content, but not very watery. Oil for frying - any vegetable oil. I have sunflower. In addition to these vegetables, you can add others to your taste: potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, etc.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the beef fillet, dry it and cut into small pieces. I had already chopped beef goulash. Instead of beef, you can use veal.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the vegetables. Cut the onion into half rings.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Cut the carrots into slices. If the carrot is large in diameter, then in semicircles.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the prunes, dry them and remove the pits, if any.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into the sour cream and mix well. If you want the sauce to be thicker, you can add 1 tsp. cornstarch or 1/2 tsp. potato mixture and stir until smooth, breaking up all lumps.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add carrots and onions and fry over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Remove vegetables from pan.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

In the remaining vegetable oil, fry the beef over high heat until golden brown. This will seal the juices inside the meat and keep it juicy. If you don't want to spend time frying, you can put all the ingredients in the pots raw. But the baking time will increase by about 10-15 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place fried vegetables, beef and prunes in pots. Salt and pepper everything, sprinkle with meat spices, salt and pepper. In addition to these spices, you can add your own to taste, for example paprika, dry herbs, etc. But when using ready-made spice mixtures, keep in mind that they usually already contain salt and pepper, otherwise you risk oversalting and peppering the dish.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Distribute the sour cream mixture among the pots. I got a total of 3 500 ml pots.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cover the pots with lids, place in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for about 50-60 minutes. If the pots are filled almost to the neck, I advise you to place a piece of foil or parchment under them in case the juice starts to leak out.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Ready meat in sour cream can be served directly in pots. Bon appetit!

Meat in sour cream in a pot is a simple, but very tasty and satisfying dish. I prepared it for three servings. I just had a little more than 400 grams of beef. My family doesn’t really like prunes, so I put chopped bell peppers instead. My sour cream was 20 percent melted. I added suneli hops as spices. I did everything according to the recipe. Place the fried meat and grilled vegetables into five pots (500 ml). I filled each pot halfway. Then I poured the sour cream mixture into the pots (I added potato starch to it). I baked the meat in pots for one hour. The beef turned out to be very tender, soft and juicy. The overall taste of the dish is very pleasant, rich, and tender thanks to the sour cream. It turned out very tasty. Maria, thank you very much!
