Mackerel in foil with vegetables

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake mackerel baked in foil with vegetables in the oven? Prepare your ingredients. You can use any vegetables, but I still suggest trying this company. I have homemade frozen peas, medium-sized carrots and onions. Mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream or omitted altogether. You can make your own mayonnaise. You will find the recipes after the last step. Take hard cheese. I have frozen fish, medium size (400 gr.)
STEP 2

Turn on the oven to 180°. Wash and peel the vegetables. Cut the onion into half rings, carrots into strips, potatoes into half circles. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the prepared vegetables for a few minutes until they lightly brown.
STEP 3

Wash the peas; there is no need to defrost them.
STEP 4

Wash the fish, remove all the insides by making an incision on the belly. Rinse the fish under running water, including the inside, and dry with a napkin or paper towel.
STEP 5

Line a baking dish with foil to form sides. Place fried potatoes, carrots and onions on foil. For information on how to choose a baking dish, as well as the nuances of using aluminum foil, read the separate articles at the links at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6

Place washed green peas evenly on top.
STEP 7

Place the prepared mackerel on the vegetables.
STEP 8

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and other spices to taste. Lubricate the fish and vegetables with mayonnaise.
STEP 9

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and distribute evenly over the surface of the fish, place some inside the fish. Cover the mackerel with vegetables with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180° for 30-40 minutes. The exact time depends on how your oven operates. Read more about this in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 10

After 30-40 minutes, remove the mackerel with vegetables from the oven, remove the foil and place back in the oven to bake until the vegetables and fish are ready. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
STEP 11

Remove the finished fish from the oven and serve, arranging it on plates. If desired, sprinkle the dish with fresh herbs. Bon appetit!
