STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. It is better to take oatmeal varieties like oatmeal or extra-1, which are not instant and more healthy. Wash the flakes thoroughly and drain the water. Dry the cereal, grind half the oatmeal into flour, you can do this using a coffee grinder or other device. Place the remaining whole flakes in a deep bowl and fill with hot water, leave for 10 minutes to allow the flakes to swell. Drain the water from the cereal, squeezing it out.
STEP 2
We thoroughly wash the dried fruits under running water, pour boiling water over them and leave for 15 minutes so that they swell well. Afterwards, we rinse the dried fruits again to remove plaque from the berries, which often occurs on dried fruits. Dry the dried apricots and prunes and finely chop with a knife. Leave the raisins whole.
STEP 3
Place the cooked dried fruits in a bowl with oatmeal. If desired, you can add chopped walnuts or other nuts, honey or other additives. Those who like it sweeter can add a little sugar, but dried fruits make the cookies quite sweet without sugar, and no added salt is required.
STEP 4
Add oatmeal crushed into flour to the remaining ingredients. Beat a chicken egg into a bowl. Add a pinch of baking powder. Mix thoroughly.
STEP 5
The result was a thick and sticky dough. If it is too thick, add more water. Flakes can vary greatly in viscosity.
STEP 6
Cover the baking sheet with parchment. Spoon the oatmeal dough onto the parchment paper using a tablespoon, forming a round cookie.
STEP 7
Bake cookies in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven, let cool and remove from the paper. Serve with tea, coffee, milk or cocoa. Enjoy your tea!
