Lenten porridge with pumpkin

Delicious pumpkin porridge with water and honey! Let's try!!! I especially like cooked pumpkin in a slow cooker, it’s very tender and aromatic. In the fall, after the harvest, almost every home has a vegetable like pumpkin. Who doesn’t know what delicious porridges can be prepared from it. But I found a more amazing culinary recipe for preparing food like pumpkin. Especially for you - lean porridge with pumpkin.

    STEP 4

fry the pumpkin in a frying pan on all sides, adding 1-2 tablespoons of oil.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

add water to the washed cereals and pumpkin and cook over low heat until tender, don’t forget to add salt and honey at the end of cooking. Let it brew for 30 minutes. And you're done! Cooking is slow but simple. It tastes a bit bland, I recommend serving it with prunes, dried apricots or dried fruit. The combination of honey and pumpkin gives a floral aroma. The ingredients in the porridge are natural, healthy, and it is good during fasting and for those who are watching their diet. Have a nice post.

An interesting recipe, but I didn’t understand - why take out the pulp from the walls? let it all steam together with the porridge, soak each other, and take it out later, when everything is ready. although - the owner of the recipe probably knows better

Fiesta, you can try leaving the pulp, but I just use the pumpkin as a fragrant “pot”, or you can without roasting the pumpkin, and use milk instead of water

I also don’t mess with pumpkin in skycooker, I just cook it. I usually cook it with milk and millet porridge, but this is no longer a lean option.
