Lenten green pea soup

STEP 1

Let's prepare simple products. I have frozen peas and dill; in the summer you can take everything fresh.
STEP 2

Wash the peas, add water and put on fire. After boiling, cook for 10-12 minutes.
STEP 3

Peel the onion and cut into cubes as desired. We need to fry it and we will chop it later, so the size of the cubes does not matter. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry for 5-6 minutes.
STEP 4

The finished onion is very fragrant and golden in color.
STEP 5

Add the fried onion to the cooked peas and leave for 5 minutes so that the vegetables cool down from the “boiling water”
STEP 6

Then add salt to taste, lemon juice and dill to the vegetables in a saucepan. We need to grind everything with a blender. I have a submersible one, if you don’t have one, you can use a blender bowl; they also make cocktails in these.
STEP 7

Grind our soup into puree. The aroma is amazing! Then you need to put the saucepan with the soup on the fire and bring the contents to a boil. Add pepper to taste. You might want to add some more lemon juice - try it!
STEP 8

Our lean, bright, aromatic and tasty soup is ready! If you don't fast, you can safely add sour cream or cream to the soup. A piece of black bread and enjoy a delicious lunch!
