  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make lazy peppers with rice and minced meat? To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any minced meat: pork, chicken, beef, homemade. I used minced pork from the pork belly. Boil the rice in advance. You can also use any rice. I used rice for pilaf (long grain). Tomato sauce can be replaced with tomato juice. I took regular ketchup. Choose sour cream of any fat content. I have 10%. Turn on the oven at 180°C.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the vegetables. Cut the pepper into small cubes. Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater. Also peel and finely chop the onion. To prevent the onion from stinging your eyes when slicing, wash it and the knife with cold water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and carrots for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Cool the roast slightly.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

In a suitable sized bowl, mix the minced meat with boiled rice. Add salt to taste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add fried vegetables and diced pepper to the minced rice and stir.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Prepare the sauce. To do this, mix sour cream and tomato sauce (or juice) in a separate plate. Add your favorite spices. I put khmeli-suneli. You can add a little water if the sauce is too thick. I added 100 ml of water.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Form the minced meat into balls and place them in a heat-resistant form.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the sauce over the meat balls and distribute it evenly throughout the pan.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Bake lazy peppers for 40-45 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bon appetit!

I’ve cooked lazy cabbage rolls, but this is the first time I’ve made lazy peppers with minced meat and rice. I had chopped frozen bell peppers, which I fried in a pan along with onions and carrots. Added rice boiled until half cooked and minced pork and beef. Salt and pepper to taste. I formed oblong cutlets and placed them in one layer in a large pan. I poured the sauce, for which I diluted sour cream, tomato sauce and salt in warm boiled water. I poured the sauce into the mold so that they covered the lazy peppers by more than half. Cover the pan with a lid and bake for about 40 minutes. It turned out to be a very tasty dish! I won’t say that the flavor of pepper dominates in it; in my case, frozen pepper is not felt at all. The predominant sour taste of the tomato-sour cream sauce with which the cutlets are soaked. The result is excellent, I recommend these peppers to housewives who want to prepare a simple and quick dinner.
