Lavash with sprats
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to cook lavash with sprats? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Mayonnaise can be replaced with yogurt with the addition of a teaspoon of mustard. Adjust the amount of garlic according to your tastes and preferences. You can add more of it, or do without it altogether.
STEP 2
Wash and peel the carrots. Boil it until done. Depending on the size and variety of carrots, it may take 10 to 15 minutes. You can easily check readiness by piercing the carrots with a knife. If the knife easily enters the carrots, it means they are cooked. If not, then leave it to cook some more.
STEP 3
Cool the boiled carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.
STEP 4
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. If you don’t like the strong taste of onions, you can pour boiling water over them for a minute and then drain the water. This will help soften the onion's flavor.
STEP 5
Boil hard-boiled eggs in salted water. This is necessary so that the shell does not crack during cooking. Boil the eggs for 10-12 minutes after the water boils. This will allow the yolk and white to fully combine, making it easier to grate the eggs. Soak the boiled eggs in cold water for 10-15 minutes to help them peel better.
STEP 6
Grate the boiled eggs on a coarse grater.
STEP 7
Open the jar of sprats and drain the oil. If this is not done, the filling will be too liquid and too greasy.
STEP 8
Mash the sprats with a fork. If desired, you can leave the fish whole.
STEP 9
Peel the garlic, pass it through a press and add to the mayonnaise. Stir. The gas station is ready.
STEP 10
Rinse the rice until clean. Place it in a small saucepan or saucepan, fill with clean water in a ratio of 1:1.5 (for 70 grams of rice you will need approximately 110 ml of water). Bring to a boil, add a little salt and cook over low heat until tender.
STEP 11
Place one sheet of pita bread on a work surface and brush with half the dressing.
STEP 12
Place a strip of onion on the edge of the pita bread, place sprats next to it, then rice, followed by eggs and carrots. Place the layers of filling close to each other.
STEP 13
Cover the filled pita bread with a second sheet of pita bread and press lightly with your hand. Brush the top pita bread with the second half of the dressing.
STEP 14
Very carefully roll the pita bread into a roll. Do not press too hard so that the filling does not leak out.
STEP 15
Wrap the finished roll in cling film and place in the refrigerator for half an hour or more.
STEP 16
After half an hour, the roll can be served. It is better to cut this roll diagonally, this way the appetizer looks more beautiful and appetizing. Bon appetit!
