    STEP 1

How to make a simple and quick kefir pie with jam? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. I measure kefir and jam in a glass - 200 ml. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to sifting, the finished product is airier. You can use any jam for the pie, but not very liquid. I have plum jam. It will be just as delicious with cherry or blackcurrant jam. My kefir is 1% fat.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar and beat until fluffy.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then pour kefir into the bowl and add soda. Mix everything with a whisk. When mixed, the soda will react with kefir and bubbles will immediately appear in the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Next, stir the jam into the dough. If your jam is dark, like mine, the dough will change color.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Gradually add flour and knead the dough. You may need a little more or less flour. If the jam was more liquid, the dough will take a little more flour. Be guided by its consistency.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The finished dough is not liquid and not very thick. Almost like pancakes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Line the bottom of a springform pan (20 cm) with parchment. Place the prepared dough in the mold and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-50 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The cake will rise well and become golden brown. Pierce it with a skewer and immediately pull it out. If it is dry, the pie is ready.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Remove it from the mold and leave to cool slightly. By the way, this pie can be used as a sponge cake for a cake. The taste has a slight sourness from the jam, which will go perfectly with sour cream. The pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or poured over chocolate. Enjoy your meal!

I like jam-based pies, they always turn out well, and such a pie is easy to make. You can also change the taste of baked goods using different jars from stock) By the way, one of the first pies I baked as a child was a pie with jam. For this pie I chose strawberry jam, I wanted something aromatic. I didn’t add sugar to the dough at all, because the jam was sweet and the only fermented milk jam I had was “Snowball”, which was also sweetish. But if you take sour jam, then, of course, you will need sugar. I added the jam to the dough last to preserve the tender berries as much as possible. The dough turned out to be medium thick. When baking, an appetizing aroma hovered throughout the house, I think this makes the home environment more comfortable) The pie turned out fluffy, porous, and rose very well due to the soda. The crumb is juicy, moister near the berries, but not sticky. The sweetness was average, which suits me. Very tasty pastries, I recommend them.

In search of something tasty, I came across this recipe, instead of jam I put apricot jam, although it was less than in the recipe for 50 g (leftovers from another pie), due to circumstances I was not able to try it🙃, I’ll add a review based on taste later, when I try it😊, for now only photos
