  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake jellied minced meat pie with kefir? First, prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. I used ready-made minced chicken. Mix the minced meat with chopped onion and dill, salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan (literally 1 tablespoon) and place the filling on it. Simmer over medium heat with stirring for about 7 minutes with the lid closed. The filling is ready. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Remove kefir from the refrigerator in advance. Choose sour kefir. If it is not sour enough, the soda added to the dough may not fully react with it and will give the finished pie an unpleasant soda taste. If sour kefir is not available, then add 2-3 drops of lemon juice. Kefir should be at room temperature. Beat the eggs into a deep bowl, add salt and whisk everything with a whisk.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour kefir and vegetable oil into the beaten eggs and mix everything with a whisk. Mix soda and flour and sift into a separate clean container. If you have time, it is better to do this 2-3 times so that the soda is distributed evenly in the flour. Please note that soda reacts with an acidic medium, in our case with kefir.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the mixture of soda and flour into the kefir-oil mixture and knead the dough until smooth, so that there are no lumps. This can be done either with a mixer at low speed or with a regular whisk. The pie dough is ready: it should have the consistency of liquid sour cream.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Prepare a baking dish - I used a round one with a diameter of 16.5 centimeters. The smaller the diameter of the mold, the fluffier and taller the baked goods will turn out. The mold should be covered with parchment or foil and greased with vegetable oil. After this, you need to heat the pan in the oven, then the oil will warm up and the cake will definitely not stick. You don’t have to cover it with anything, but simply grease the mold itself with oil. Pour out half of the dough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the fried minced meat on top, distributing it evenly over the dough.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour in the second half of the dough, leveling it with a spoon or wooden spatula.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Bake the jellied pie with minced meat in the oven at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Time and temperature are approximate, be guided by the characteristics of your equipment. When the cake is browned, pierce it with a wooden skewer in the middle: if the dough does not stick to the skewer, then the cake is baked. Remove the finished product from the oven, cool slightly and remove from the mold. Bon appetit!

In the morning I took the minced meat out of the freezer so that in the evening, after work, I could quickly cook something for dinner and “Jellied pie with minced meat on kefir” is just a recipe from the “magic wand” category. Onions, diced, sautéed in a small amount of sunflower oil, then added minced beef, rosemary and, stirring, simmered for about 10 minutes. While the filling was being prepared, I sifted the flour, mixed it with soda and in a separate bowl, manually beat the eggs with butter and salt with a whisk, then added kefir. Add the flour gradually, stirring well with a whisk. The dough turned out homogeneous, the consistency of pancakes. I kneaded a double portion of the ingredients, because... I have a 30 cm mold. I baked it at 180 °C for 40 minutes. The pie turned out ruddy and airy. The dough is very tasty and tender. And the fact that the dough is prepared very simply and quickly is a huge plus. I’m bookmarking it. Thanks to the author for the recipe!

Thanks for the recipe!) I tried the jellied pie for the first time, it turned out very tasty) I have a mold with a diameter of 22 cm, I made more filling for it and added cheese to the meat. The result was a thin dough, a lot of filling and a very juicy pie. Beautiful, fast and most importantly. tasty!
