    How to make ham sandwiches? Prepare the ingredients for cooking. Take bread according to your taste. Absolutely any will do - white, loaf, rye, Borodino, whole grain. You can also make these sandwiches with mini baguettes, ciabatta or panini buns. You can take either whole or ready-cut ham. I prefer slicing - the slices of ham are very thin and it looks beautiful.

    Wash the cucumber, dry it and cut into thin slices. You will only need a few slices, so choose a small cucumber. Be sure to check it to see if it is bitter.

    Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into thin rings. The thinner the slices of vegetables and ham, the more convenient it will be to eat the sandwich; thick pieces will begin to fall out when bitten.

    Prepare the sauce. How to make sauce? Mix mayonnaise with mustard until smooth. Take sweet mustard, it will taste better. Although, if you like it spicy, then take “Russian”. Any mayonnaise will do, again, based on your preferences. You can also use only mayonnaise as a sauce or only mustard. And add your favorite spices to the sauce - it will be delicious.

    Take a slice of bread and spread the resulting sauce on it.

    Place tomato slices on bread. Try not to let them overlap each other, lay them in one layer.

    Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Place them on top of other vegetables. Any salad is suitable, I have a regular leaf salad, it will be delicious with arugula, frisée, watercress or iceberg. However, you can add salad, like vegetables, as you wish - exclude something or add something, for example, radishes.

    Place pieces of ham on the salad. I cut it thin, so I folded each slice in half.

    Brush the ham with mayonnaise-mustard sauce. In principle, the sandwich is already ready and can be served, but I prefer the closed version - it is neater and more convenient to eat.

Ham sandwiches are a great snack option for work. I made two of these sandwiches for my husband. They cook quickly, which is important, especially during the everyday morning rush. I dried the slices of bread a little in a dry frying pan so that they would not get soggy from the mustard (I did not add mayonnaise). I replaced the ham with pork sausage. I haven’t tried the sandwiches myself, but they look very appetizing. katushafin, thank you very much for the recipe!
