  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make fried milk pies in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can take milk of any fat content. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. This will make the dough fluffier and airier.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

For the dough, take a comfortable deep bowl. Heat the milk until warm (35-38 degrees) and pour it into the bowl. Dissolve yeast, salt and sugar in it. Mix everything.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add 100 grams of flour and leave to stand for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the yeast will begin to work and air bubbles will appear on the surface. If this does not happen, then you need to use other yeast; baking will not work with this.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Melt the butter and cool. Add it to the bowl. Next, break the egg and add vegetable oil. Mix all ingredients. Wash the egg with baking soda first to remove surface contamination.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Gradually add the remaining sifted flour and knead the dough. The amount of flour depends on the structure of the dough. You may need a little less or more than what is indicated in the recipe.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The finished dough will be soft and almost not stick to your hands. Place it in a warm place for 1 hour to rise.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

This dough can be used to make pies with any filling. I will make pies with cabbage and potatoes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

To prepare the cabbage filling, fry the chopped onions and carrots for a couple of minutes. Then add the shredded cabbage and simmer everything over low heat under the lid for about 15 minutes. Add some salt.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

To prepare the potato filling, boil the peeled potatoes until soft. Add some salt. Then drain the water and mash the potatoes with a small amount of butter and warm milk. You can also use the remaining puree from yesterday's dinner for the filling.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Divide the finished dough into 10-20 parts. The pieces will depend on what size you want the pies to be. Make a flat cake from the dough, fill it with filling and pinch the edges to form a pie. Let the pies lie on the table for 10-15 minutes.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Fry the pies for 2-3 minutes on each side over low heat, adding vegetable oil. The pies should be golden on all sides.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Place the finished delicious fried yeast pies in a bowl and cover with a towel. They will warm up a little more and will be very soft. Enjoy your treat!

I prepared fried yeast pies with milk in a frying pan for tea. I took the egg category C1. I used a little less flour (highest category), about 660 grams. The dough turned out soft, tender, pliable. In an hour it increased approximately 2.5 times. I divided the resulting dough into 12 parts. I used ready-made mashed potatoes as a filling, adding chopped wild garlic to it. I fried the pies in a cast-iron frying pan over medium-low heat for 3-3.5 minutes on each side. The resulting pies were very soft, tender, aromatic and fluffy. During frying, they grew right before our eyes. They taste excellent too. Julia, thank you very much for the recipe!
