STEP 1

How to fry potato pies without yeast in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the finished products will be more magnificent. Heat kefir until warm. You can at least bring it to room temperature.
STEP 2

To prepare the dough, pour kefir into a bowl and add soda, sugar and salt to it.
STEP 3

Next, stir in the eggs and add vegetable oil.
STEP 4

Add sifted flour to the dough and knead the dough. You may need a little more or less flour than indicated. Refer to the finished test.
STEP 5

The dough turns out tender, soft and plastic. Cover it with cling film and leave it on the table to rest.
STEP 6

Now let's prepare the filling. Peel the potatoes, add water and boil until soft. Then drain the hot water and mash the potatoes into a puree, adding butter to it.
STEP 7

Peel the onion and chop finely. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry the onion until golden brown.
STEP 8

Stir fried onions into mashed potatoes.
STEP 9

Form small cakes from the dough, fill with the prepared filling and make pies. By the way, instead of potatoes you can take, for example, stewed cabbage. Or you can use a sweet filling. For example, boiled condensed milk.
STEP 10

I like to fry pies in a lot of vegetable oil. Place the pies in hot oil and fry over low heat for 1-2 minutes on each side. The pies will turn golden.
STEP 11

Place the finished pies in a bowl and cover with a towel. They will steam a little more and arrive. Bon appetit!
