  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make fettuccine pasta with shrimp in creamy sauce? Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dish.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Thaw and peel the shrimp. The recipe lists the net weight of the shrimp after peeling. Therefore, take plenty of seafood. If you have shrimp with a head and shell, then approximately 550 g, if without a head, but with a shell and tails, then 400 g is enough!!! Don't rush to throw away the cleaning. You can make a very tasty soup from them*.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat a piece of butter in a frying pan. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place the shrimp in the pan and stir-fry them for about 4 minutes. Lightly salt the shrimp and place on a plate.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

While the shrimp are frying in a saucepan, boil a large amount of water and salt it. Place the fettuccine into the boiling water and bring the water back to a boil. Cook the pasta for about 6 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Peel the garlic and finely chop it with a knife.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour vegetable oil into the pan and fry the garlic in it for about one minute.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour in the wine and let it evaporate over low heat. This will take about two minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add cream, nutmeg, salt and ground pepper. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer until thickened for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Read about all the intricacies of using cream for sauce in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Place the finished pasta in a colander and let the water drain.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Add pasta and fried shrimp to the sauce pan. Warm everything together, stirring, for a couple of minutes.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Grate Parmesan on a fine or medium grater. It is better, of course, to use aged cheese with a small amount of moisture inside. But young Parmesan is also suitable, which is very similar to regular cheese, but has a specific taste.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Divide the pasta into bowls and serve, sprinkled with grated Parmesan. Bon appetit!
