  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

I bring to your attention a recipe in which I will tell you how to bake buns from dough with sour cream. We prepare products according to the list. In addition to them, we may also need chocolate, nuts and cinnamon for the filling, well, that’s if you want!

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Let's prepare the dough for our buns; to do this, add yeast and sugar to warm milk, mix everything thoroughly until the sugar dissolves. At this stage, you can leave the milk mixture to stand for about 15 minutes so that the yeast comes to life, but I don’t do this, since this is not the first time I’m cooking with this yeast, so I knead the dough right away. If you are not sure of the quality of the yeast, then it is better to leave it to revive until a foamy cap appears.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Next, add the egg, melted butter and sour cream to the milk mixture, mix everything until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add ground cardamom and ginger to the flour and sift everything thoroughly (you can use just vanilla instead, you can also add fresh ginger or lemon/orange zest to the dough).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Let's start kneading the dough.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

It turns out soft and elastic. You may need more or less flour, depending on the dough. Form a ball from the dough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place it in a bowl, cover with cling film and place in a warm place to rise for 40 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

During this time it should rise well.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Punch down the risen dough and place it on a floured table. Roll out the dough not very thin, use a glass to cut out circles.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

You can sprinkle the circles with cinnamon or put a little grated chocolate and nuts on them as a filling - you will get products with different fillings.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

First fold the pieces in half, then in half again.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Place three pieces into muffin-cupcake tins.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Leave our buns to rise for 15 minutes until they increase in volume, brush the risen buns with egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 180C until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Remove the buns from the oven, let cool and serve. Bon appetit!

I baked buns from dough with sour cream. I kneaded the dough strictly according to the recipe (only I did not use ginger and cardamom, I limited myself to adding vanillin). The proportions of the ingredients were chosen precisely, the dough turned out soft, tender, and did not stick to your hands. And after proofing it is easy to work with. For the filling I used grated chocolate and jam apple slices. The buns turned out wonderful! Tender, fragrant, rosy! Thanks to the author for the recipe! I am happy to take it into my piggy bank.

Well done, Irisha! It seems like an ordinary bun dough, but what an original presentation. I'll have to look for this form in the store. Live and learn.

Anahit, thank you very much, I’m very glad that you liked the buns! What I like about this serving is that you can put a different filling into each piece and you can use your favorite dough, which has been tested over the years.

Thank you very much, Shura! I used to add only vanilla to yeast dough, but now I started trying to add different spices, they greatly enrich its taste, making it simply unique, the main thing is not to overdo it with them.
