    How to bake country-style potato wedges in the oven? Prepare your food. Choose light varieties of potatoes - they contain more starch, which will make the crust more pronounced. Young potatoes with thin skin are better - you won't need to peel them. You can change the set of spices to your taste. Take refined, odorless oil.

    Wash the potatoes well under running water with a brush. If you have new potatoes, leave them with the skins on. Peel the old tubers. Cut each potato lengthwise into 8 wedges - first in half, then into quarters, and each quarter in half again.

    Place a saucepan with water on the fire. When it boils, throw in the slices. Cook the potatoes for 4-5 minutes, no longer is necessary, otherwise they may fall apart. In a short time, the slices will become sticky and absorb the oil and spices, which will become an excellent basis for the formation of a crust. After 5 minutes, drain the water and place the potatoes on paper towels - they should dry well, as the water will not allow the slices to absorb the oil. Leave the slices to cool.

    Pour salt and the entire set of spices into the bowl. It can be anything, for example, dried garlic will add a unique aroma, but I advise you not to give up paprika and turmeric - they give the potatoes a beautiful color. Pour oil into the spices and stir.

    Place the cooled potatoes in a bowl, pour in the oil and spices. Using your hands, toss the potatoes until each wedge is coated with oil on all sides. Leave it to stand for 10 minutes. In the meantime, turn on the oven to preheat at 220°C.

    Take a baking sheet and cover it with parchment. Place the slices on the paper “standing up”, that is, skin side down.

    Bake country-style potatoes for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven, the variety and size of the potatoes. I made country-style potato wedges in the oven for lunch. My husband and I really love this one, especially flavored with oil and spices. My potatoes were soft and mushy, so I cut them into slices and immediately, without boiling them, placed them in a deep bowl with butter, salt and Italian herbs, which I used instead of paprika, turmeric and pepper. I added some grated garlic myself. I stirred so that each piece was bathed in oil and put it into the mold. I baked the potatoes in the oven for 50 minutes at 220°. It turned out very tasty! The potato wedges were covered with a crispy crust. With aromatic herbs and garlic, they came out fragrant and very appetizing. We ate potatoes with homemade pickles - we couldn’t stop eating! Country-style potato wedges in the oven - a simple and very tasty dish! I pre-washed the potatoes and, following the author’s advice, boiled them for literally 3 minutes. Then she cut it into slices. The spices I used were salt, smoked paprika and turmeric. Mix vegetable oil, salt and spices in a cup. Place the potato wedges in a bowl, add spices and oil and mix thoroughly so that all the wedges are covered with spices. Then I placed the slices on a baking sheet covered with parchment and put them in the oven, heated to 200°, to bake for 30 minutes. Fragrant, filling and very tasty! I prepared country-style potatoes in the oven according to your recipe. Our kids simply love these potatoes, they turn out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This dish doesn't require a lot of ingredients, but it still tastes so good and gets eaten in no time! The potatoes really turn out tasty and crispy, just like they were at McDonald's. I just boil it for no more than 2-3 minutes. You can also add dry garlic and sprinkle with ground breadcrumbs before baking, but this is not for everybody.
