Christmas tree cake for the New Year made of honey cakes
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a Christmas tree cake from honey cakes? First of all, we will prepare the cakes. Prepare everything you need for the test. Wash the eggs and dry them with paper napkins. Choose any honey, but the more aromatic it is, the brighter the baked goods will be. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen.
STEP 2
It is convenient to use a non-stick pan to prepare the dough. Combine butter and honey in it. Place on the fire and heat until the butter melts. No need to boil.
STEP 3
In a separate bowl, combine the eggs with sugar and beat them a little until light foam appears. While whisking, pour the hot honey mixture into the eggs.
STEP 4
Then return everything to the heat and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and pour soda into the hot mixture. Stir. The honey mass will begin to foam and increase in volume. Stir the mixture for a minute. Then set aside and cool until warm.
STEP 5
Pour the sifted flour into the cooled mass and knead the dough. At this stage it will still stick to your hands a little. Cover it with cling film and leave to stand for 1-2 hours. During this time, the dough will sit, cool completely, become soft, pliable and will not stick to your hands at all. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the consistency of the dough.
STEP 6
Cut out a Christmas tree stencil from a sheet of A4 paper. Divide the dough into 3 parts and roll each into a thin layer, 4-5 mm thick. Using the stencil, cut out the Christmas tree. Prick it with a fork all over the surface so that the dough does not rise in bubbles while baking. Place the Christmas tree in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 4-6 minutes.
STEP 7
Honey cakes bake very quickly. Be guided by your oven. The cakes will turn a honey-golden color. Cool them down.
STEP 8
Prepare everything you need for the filling. The cream should be chilled and the cheese should be at room temperature. The berry filling can be anything. I really like the combination with blackcurrant.
STEP 9
Whip the cream and powdered sugar into a stable cream. Then stir in the cream cheese.
STEP 10
Drop a little cream under the bottom Christmas tree so that it does not slip on the backing. Using pastry bags, pipe the cream over the entire surface of the Christmas tree, and in the center, not reaching the edges, place the berry filling.
STEP 11
So assemble the cake. Place it in the cake box and close it. In this form, put the cake in the refrigerator for a day. In a closed container, all the moisture will be absorbed into the cakes, thereby soaking them well.
STEP 12
The finished cake can be decorated with cream, berries, fruits or sweets.
STEP 13
Enjoy your meal!
