You can replace these spices with a ready-made chicken spice mixture, but read the ingredients on the package. I haven’t baked a whole chicken for a long time, I wanted to marinate it tastier. I liked the recipe for chicken in soy sauce with honey. This combination is always a win-win. My chicken weighed 1.5 kg. I first soaked it in cold water for an hour. They say that this is how all the excess comes out of the meat. Then dried it and rubbed it with salt. For the marinade I used fragrant flower honey. Even though it was liquid, I melted it a little more in the microwave. Added the rest of the ingredients. I just didn’t use ginger and used fresh garlic. I was surprised by the use of butter, but I added it anyway. I also always use paprika and curry; I think these seasonings go well with chicken. The bird marinated in my refrigerator overnight. I baked the chicken with the marinade, but it began to burn during the process, so I poured half a glass of water into the pan. Cooking took 1 hour and 20 minutes. The chicken turned out very rosy, golden, and the crust was crispy! And the meat is soft and juicy. We loved the spicy taste and mouth-watering aroma of the chicken baked according to this recipe. I recommend.

You can bake chicken in soy sauce but with sour cream and mustard. Also a good option.

Thanks for the recipe! My husband gave me a new electric oven today, and I tried it on it. It turned out simply divine, only instead of a whole chicken I used chicken breasts and put potatoes on the sides.
