Cherry pie in a charlotte-type multicooker

Cherry delight with airy dough can only be achieved in a slow cooker. I really love baking with cherries, but I have never tried a pie that tastes better than this one. The cherries are almost fresh, not soggy and juicy, and the dough.... Airy. I wonder how it turned out! Such a creation can only be achieved in a slow cooker; unfortunately, the oven is not capable of producing such a masterpiece. Heating proceeds differently and the cherries become limp and the pie becomes wet. The main difficulty in making cherry pie is removing the seeds, I guess I took 400 grams (without seeds), but I think you can do more. The juice must be expressed, otherwise there is a risk of getting a wet cake. The dough is made easily with a mixer, the main thing is to follow the sequence.

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Products for making pie

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Throw the peeled cherries into a sieve and strain the juice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Margarine should be soft. In a bowl, using a mixer, combine margarine and sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add the eggs one at a time and keep working with the mixer.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix the baking powder with the flour and add it into the dough in small portions, without stopping whisking.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The resulting dough should not be thick and should not be liquid.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour 2/3 of the dough volume into the oiled multicooker bowl. Add half the cherries. You can press them down slightly.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Next, lay out the rest of the dough and distribute it evenly.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the remaining cherries and press lightly into the pie.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Set the “Baking” program, time 1 hour. Let the multicooker complete the program.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

The pie is ready. We don’t take it out right away. Let it cool right in the bowl; if you take it out while it’s hot, the cake may fall apart.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Sprinkle the cooled pie with powdered sugar.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Cut it into pieces and invite your family to the table. This pie is delicious to eat with hot black coffee.

I adjusted the recipe a little: 2 eggs instead of 4 eggs, 120 gr. sugar instead of 150 gr. and half a glass less flour. I defrosted the frozen cherries, let them drain, putting them in a colander, then sprinkled them with cornstarch so that the pie would not be soggy from the cherries. It turned out perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

I have a Lumme multicooker. 1 hour was not enough, it was completely raw on top. I baked it for about 2-2.5 hours. But it turned out delicious. Thank you.

Good day, I baked a pie exactly according to your recipe, and I’ll tell you that it’s not a fountain, it took 2 hours to bake, and another hour to heat up, why mislead people... I just used up the food.
