Natalie Wang! Just excellent! You are killing us with your themed cakes! Accident! I think so, you can make mastic yourself, I even saw a recipe somewhere here on Khrumka. Plus the dyes are multi-colored.

Thank you... Yes, I make the mastic myself from marshmallows, and add dyes. But to get the gray color, I mixed ready-made black and white mastic. Yes, Khrumka also has a recipe for this mastic.

Natali, you baked a wonderful cake and the decoration is very fun. I also love meringue cakes, but I’m afraid to bake. I have a little experience working with meringue, but I put it on a ready-made shortbread crust and baked it, but not separately. I also wanted to ask about working with mastic. I really like the cakes she designed. But I don’t know how to work. I saw white mastic on sale, but I can’t imagine how it can be painted. I want to cook something new, but not knowing is a little scary. If you don't mind, share about working with mastic. I will be very grateful .

Natali, with your nickname - you did it right, it’s warmer, and now about the cake. My praise knows no bounds, so I’ll just say, clever girl, she created such a miracle, at first I thought it was something cheesy, very similar to cheese and naughty mice, but when I read everything, everything fell into place. Great recipe, I also love meringue and make it often, I put it in the oven at 100 degrees all night, and in the morning I turn off the oven, then the meringue turns out quite dry and tanned - I like this, it just crumbles when you bite it. I liked everything, the theme is excellent, unusual and fresh, the cake really looks a lot like cheese, well done, Natali, very smart, what else can I say, I also buy ready-made mastic, I don’t want to mess around with it myself. First I prepare the ganache and place it on the top crust, and then I cover it with mastic, then it lays out more evenly and does not crack.

Anahit, at first I was also very afraid to work with mastic. I’ll tell you the truth, and I didn’t succeed the first time. But I still had enough patience and interest, and I learned to use it. I work with both gelatin mastic and marshmallow mastic. There are both recipes for these mastics on Khrumka, so you will find the recipe, but I can tell you a little about coloring. I buy both dry and gel dyes. I also have kandurin, a dry dye powder, which I use to coat finished mastic products. If you want to buy ready-made mastic, say white, then drop gel dye into it, the color you want to get, and knead it with powdered sugar, only you need to buy finely ground powder, because if sugar granules come across, then when rolling out the mastic will tear. And if you prepare the mastic yourself, then add dyes during the cooking process.
