    STEP 1

How to bake a simple and fluffy charlotte with fresh strawberries in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. It is better to select small, hard berries for baking so that you can put them whole in the dough. This way they will release less juice and the dough around the berries will not be too wet. If the eggs are large, then two are enough, if small, then it is better to take 3, or even 4. The more magnificent the charlotte will be. Turn the oven on 180 degrees in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the strawberries, dry them and remove the stems. If you have large berries, then cut them into 4 parts, medium ones - in half, and leave small ones whole.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Combine the eggs with sugar in a deep bowl suitable for beating.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer until fluffy at low speed. Many small bubbles should appear on the surface.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Sift the flour with baking powder and add it to the dough in parts. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the charlotte will turn out fluffier and airier. Read about all the nuances of working with baking powder in a separate article, the link is at the end of the recipe.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix everything with a mixer at low speed.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and dust with flour. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place most of the dough into the pan. Spread strawberries on top.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Lay out the remaining dough and smooth it out. Bake the charlotte for about 30 minutes at 180°C. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, the link is at the end of the recipe. You can check the readiness with a toothpick - insert it into the middle of the charlotte and immediately remove it. If it is dry, then the charlotte is ready.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Cool the finished charlotte, remove from the mold, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired and cut into portions. Bon appetit!

I haven’t tried baking charlotte with strawberries yet, but the first strawberry appeared and I wanted to cook something with it) Following the author’s advice, I chose the strongest small fruits and used them whole. True, the first strawberries are usually watery and heavy, so my berries slid to the bottom and lost their shape. I wasn’t upset at all, it was predictable) But the pie turned out very tasty! The classic sponge cake is classically delicious as always) And it is also porous and airy. By the way, strawberries make the cake more juicy, because sponge cake is usually a bit dry and needs soaking. The size of the charlotte turned out to be small, my shape is 15 cm in diameter, we ate it quickly) The pie is wonderful, summery, fragrant. I definitely recommend making this during strawberry season!

Simple and tasty - this is how this recipe can be briefly described. It’s simple, because the effort was minimal (I didn’t even have to wash a lot of dishes after cooking, which is important). It’s delicious, because the charlotte really turned out very tasty. My eggs were first category, two were enough. Instead of baking powder, I used baking soda (on the tip of a teaspoon) with citric acid. Special thanks for the tips on choosing strawberries. Thanks to them, the charlotte with strawberries was baked evenly. I selected small berries, so I added them whole. My charlotte did not rise much, but it still turned out fluffy and soft. I will definitely bake again. Thanks for the recipe!
