Casserole with rice and minced meat in the oven

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a casserole with rice and minced meat in the oven? Prepare everything you need for this. Minced meat can be used from any type of meat. I will cook with minced pork. Sour cream can be of any fat content.
STEP 2

Rinse the rice several times in cold water. Then place the rice in boiling water and cook according to package instructions. It usually takes 20-25 minutes to cook rice. The finished rice will become soft. Place the cooked rice in a colander and rinse with cold water.
STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and finely chop. Pour some vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and fry the chopped onion for a couple of minutes.
STEP 4

Then place the minced meat in the pan and mix it with the onion. Fry everything together until the minced meat is ready. Add a little salt and spices to taste.
STEP 5

In a separate bowl, mix eggs and sour cream. Add some salt and spices. Whisk everything until smooth.
STEP 6

Mix sour cream filling with cooked rice. Of course, you can simply pour the filling on top of the casserole, but it will not saturate it completely and there will be ordinary rice at the bottom.
STEP 7

For baking, take any heat-resistant form. I have a ceramic mold. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with vegetable oil and lay out half of the prepared rice. Spread it evenly over the entire surface.
STEP 8

Then spread the fried minced meat in an even layer.
STEP 9

And place the other half of the rice on top of the minced meat. Press everything down a little.
STEP 10

Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half. Remove the stem and cut the tomatoes into half rings. Scatter the chopped tomatoes over the entire surface of the casserole.
STEP 11

Grate the cheese and sprinkle it generously over the entire surface of the casserole. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.
STEP 12

Considering that the rice and minced meat are already ready, only the filling should be baked. Remove the finished casserole from the oven and place on plates.
STEP 13

Bon appetit!
