Casserole with apples and cottage cheese semolina
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake cottage cheese casserole with apples and semolina in the oven? Prepare your food. Cottage cheese is suitable for any fat content, the main thing is that it is of high quality, natural and not dry. With fattier cottage cheese, the casserole will be more tender, but also higher in calories, keep this in mind. Read the article at the end of the recipe about the intricacies of choosing cottage cheese. You can change the amount of sugar to your taste. In addition to (or instead of) apples, you can add any berries, fruits or dried fruits.
STEP 2
Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve or punch it with a blender. I have soft paste-like cottage cheese, I didn’t do this, but in the case of more grainy cottage cheese, it’s better to grind it - the casserole will turn out more tender. Beat the eggs into the cottage cheese and mix. Add sugar, a pinch of salt, vanillin and semolina. Stir until smooth. You will learn all the subtleties of choosing semolina by reading an article on this topic. The link is at the end of the recipe.
STEP 3
Pour milk into the curd mass, stir. If you had soft cottage cheese, you can reduce the amount of milk. Watch the dough to make sure it doesn't become too liquid. But keep in mind that the semolina, after standing, will absorb some of the liquid. Leave the dough to stand for 10-15 minutes for the semolina to swell.
STEP 4
In the meantime, stick to the apples. Wash them, dry them, cut them into 4 parts. Remove the core and peel. Cut the peeled slices into cubes.
STEP 5
Add chopped apples to the curd dough, stir.
STEP 6
Take a baking dish and grease it with a piece of butter. Pour the dough into the mold. I prepared one and a half servings, my mold measures 33*17 cm.
STEP 7
Cook the casserole in the oven, preheated to 180°C, top-bottom mode for about 40-60 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and the size of your pan. About ovens, read a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe. The casserole will rise and turn golden, and then fall.
STEP 8
Serve the casserole with sour cream, condensed milk, and jam. Bon appetit!
