Canned fish pie
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a pie with canned fish? First, prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. You can take any canned fish you wish (mackerel, sardine, pink salmon, saury, etc.). Any cheese is also suitable - hard, semi-hard, soft.
STEP 2
Wash the pre-peeled onions and cut into small cubes.
STEP 3
In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the onion until soft, stirring occasionally.
STEP 4
Wash the eggs and boil them hard. How to hard boil eggs? Pour water over the eggs and bring to a boil. Cook the eggs over moderate heat for 7-8 minutes from the moment they boil. Place boiled eggs in cold water to cool them down and clean the shell better. Peel the cooled eggs and cut into small cubes.
STEP 5
Remove the canned fish from the jar to drain excess liquid. Mash the fish into smaller pieces.
STEP 6
Combine canned fish with boiled eggs and mix.
STEP 7
Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater.
STEP 8
Combine grated cheese with sour cream, stir.
STEP 9
Measure out the ingredients to make the dough. Take odorless vegetable oil.
STEP 10
Mix flour with baking powder and sift. This will saturate the flour with oxygen, and the base of the pie will be more fluffy and porous.
STEP 11
Using a mixer, beat the eggs with salt until fluffy for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 12
Add vegetable oil, stir lightly.
STEP 13
Gradually add flour sifted with baking powder into the resulting mass. Using a spatula, gently fold the flour into the dough.
STEP 14
The dough turns out homogeneous, viscous, thick.
STEP 15
Line the bottom of the baking pan with parchment. I additionally used strips of parchment to make it easier to remove the finished cake from the pan. Place the dough in the mold and smooth it out. Gently spread the fish filling on top, without pressing it too much into the dough.
STEP 16
Then add evenly fried onions.
STEP 17
Cover the filling with the cheese and sour cream mixture, spreading it over the entire surface of the pie.
STEP 18
Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 C for 30-35 minutes. Determine the cooking time based on the operating characteristics of your oven. The cake will brown at the edges, but may remain pale in the center. If necessary, towards the end of baking, you can cover the pie with a layer of foil to prevent the edges from burning. Cool the finished pie slightly in the pan, then remove.
STEP 19
Cut the pie into pieces and serve. It is good both warm and cooled. Bon appetit!
