Combine cottage cheese with egg, sugar, softened butter and mix.

Add slaked soda and flour. The amount of flour depends on the fat content of the cottage cheese, so you should not pour out all the flour at once. 1.25 cups was enough for me. The dough is soft, slightly sticky. The main thing is not to overdo it with flour.

Divide the dough into 6 parts.

Roll out immediately on a greased baking sheet. I cut the cake out onto a plate of the required diameter, but I think it’s better to do this after baking the cake. Then the cut edges of the cakes will be softer.

We bake each cake at 180-200 degrees. 8-10 minutes until golden brown. The cake scraps can be further browned, then chopped and used to decorate the cake.

For the cream, mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla.

Wash and soak the prunes in advance until soft. Chop it finely.

We assemble the cake from the cooled cake layers. Grease each cake with cream.

Place chopped prunes on top. Then add the next layer, etc.

Do not grease the top cake.

Place a board with a small weight on the cake and leave it in the kitchen for 2 hours.

Then remove the weight, remove excess cream from the sides, and grease the top of the cake.

Decorate to taste. Let the cake soak in the refrigerator for 12-14 hours.
