  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make buckwheat with meat and mushrooms in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary products. Take odorless vegetable oil. Young beef is best. I have veal. It will be more tender in the finished dish and will cook faster. You will learn all the subtleties of choosing buckwheat by reading the article at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the meat and dry it. Cut the meat into small cubes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Over moderately high heat, fry the beef pieces until they change color and are browned, about 3-4 minutes. As you do this, turn the pieces over so they cook evenly. How to successfully choose a frying pan and oil for cooking, read the articles at the link at the end of the recipe.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour hot water into the pan, bring the meat to a boil, and add salt. Simmer the meat over medium heat with the lid closed for approximately 40 minutes. Veal cooks faster than beef. Therefore, the cooking time will depend on the quality of the meat. Simmer the meat until the water evaporates. The meat pieces should be almost soft.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the pre-peeled onions and cut into small cubes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Peel the carrots, wash them, cut into medium strips.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add a little vegetable oil to the pan and add the prepared vegetables, stir. Fry vegetables with meat until vegetables are medium soft.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place washed and peeled champignons on a kitchen towel to absorb excess liquid. Leave for 15-20 minutes so that all the moisture is absorbed into the fabric. It is important to dry the mushrooms well, otherwise, once saturated with moisture, they will become watery. I cut the mushrooms into slices. If wild mushrooms are used, they must first be boiled and then chopped.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the mushrooms, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Salt the mushrooms a little while cooking.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Add mushrooms to the pan with meat and vegetables, stir.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Wash the buckwheat and place it in a frying pan, spreading it over the entire surface.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Pour warm water into the frying pan so that it is 1-2 cm above the level of the cereal. Salt, add ground black pepper or any other spices to taste.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Cover the pan with a lid and turn up the heat. Bring to a boil. Cook buckwheat over low, moderate heat. At the same time, do not stir the contents of the pan and, if possible, do not lift the lid often so that the dish not only cooks, but also steams. It is convenient to use a glass lid in this case.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

After about 10-15 minutes, when no water is visible on the surface, turn on low heat and simmer the buckwheat with the lid closed until the liquid is completely absorbed. During this time, the cereal will soften, become crumbly and aromatic.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Serve buckwheat with meat, mushrooms, onions and carrots with fresh vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!

For dinner I cooked buckwheat with meat and mushrooms in a frying pan. All the adults in the household liked this combination, and my daughter ate this dish without mushrooms. Beef was replaced with pork, which is more affordable for us. Beef takes longer to cook, but it’s healthier, better with it, of course. Fried the meat with onions and carrots. I cut the onion into small cubes and the carrots into cubes. Frozen champignons were fried separately and added to a common frying pan. The washed buckwheat was poured on top and poured with hot water. I got a ratio of 1:2. I simmered the buckwheat on the lowest heat. Through the transparent lid it is convenient to observe the process. Incredibly delicious! The meat is soft, the buckwheat is soaked in the aromatic juices of fried mushrooms and vegetables! I recommend!
