  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make broccoli with mushrooms? Prepare your food. You can use any mushrooms, from store-bought champignons and oyster mushrooms to wild mushrooms, but not with an oily texture. It is better not to take boletus and other oily mushrooms, as they release a lot of viscous liquid. Broccoli is used both fresh and frozen. Wash fresh cabbage, separate into inflorescences and boil in boiling water with lemon juice for 2 minutes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onions, rinse them and cut them in half. Use only half the onion if it is large. Cut the onion into half rings. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add chopped onion. Fry it for about 3-4 minutes over medium heat until golden brown, without frying too much. The onion slices should become soft.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the mushrooms (oyster mushrooms) from dust and dirt, cut off the stems and cut each mushroom into cubes. Add them to the pan with the fried onions. Simmer the mushrooms and onions for about 5-7 minutes over low heat. Add some salt. Thanks to the salt, the mushrooms will quickly release the liquid that will need to be evaporated. Only after this they will begin to fry.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the broccoli, disassembled into florets, on top of the fried mushrooms and onions in a frying pan. Gently stir so that the vegetable slices end up on the bottom. Fry the ingredients for about 3-5 minutes, stirring as little as possible so as not to damage the tender cabbage. But also try not to let the food burn.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

As soon as the whole mass acquires a golden, ruddy crust, becomes soft, but at the same time keeps its shape, your dish is completely ready. Many people advise adding sour cream of any fat content to it at this stage - this is purely at your request.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the broccoli and mushrooms on plates and serve. The dish is delicious both hot and cold. Bon appetit!

In the “broccoli with mushrooms” recipe, I decided to replace broccoli with cauliflower, which my family loves more. Preparing this dish is very simple - peeled and chopped vegetables need to be placed in a frying pan in a timely manner and stirred periodically - that's all! To make the taste of the dish more expressive, I added a teaspoon of dry basil, a pinch of thyme and a clove of chopped garlic. Well, I’ve never made ordinary oyster mushrooms so tasty! And with cauliflower too! A harmonious combination, even though it’s not broccoli. I'm very pleased with the result! Thanks for the recipe!
