Baked oatmeal in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. For oatmeal, it is better to use regular rolled oatmeal, which requires long cooking, because this product contains more useful substances. You can use any spices and additives at your discretion and desire.
STEP 2
Although many housewives do not wash oatmeal before cooking, I still recommend doing this, even if this product is semi-finished - quick cooking; in addition to the dirt, excess flour will be washed out of the cereal, which will make the finished dish less high in calories. Dry the washed cereal and pour it into a greased baking dish.
STEP 3
Fresh apples, bananas, dried fruits, and berries can be used as flavoring additives. I added raspberries, black currants, gooseberries and sea buckthorn. Berries can be added fresh or frozen, without even defrosting them first. Add them to oatmeal.
STEP 4
Beat a chicken egg into a deep bowl, add sugar and salt. Pour in milk (you can use any fat content of this product, depending on who this dish is being prepared for: for children, of course, you need to use fatty and natural products, for those losing weight and watching Low-fat foods will suit your figure).
STEP 5
Using a whisk or mixer, mix the ingredients until the mixture is homogeneous in consistency. Pour in melted and slightly cooled butter (for a dietary dish you don’t have to add it, but the butter will add a pleasant creamy flavor to the oatmeal and make the dish more tender), a pinch of vanillin or cinnamon to taste. Mix again.
STEP 6
Pour the milk-egg mixture over the oatmeal in a baking dish. The liquid should be twice as much as dry oatmeal. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the oatmeal for about 30 minutes.
STEP 7
First, it is better to cover the pan with foil so that the cereal swells quickly; after 15 minutes of baking, remove the foil and continue baking without it. If you want the oatmeal to taste drier, you can still keep the cereal in the oven. Serve the oatmeal to the table. Bon appetit!
