Baked milk cookies

Cookies with the taste of baked milk - with the taste of childhood! Many people remember from childhood the taste of cookies called “baked milk”; they can hardly be compared with the cookies that are now sold in the store. But this taste can be repeated if you bake such cookies at home. Of course, in order for the taste to be identical to the finished cookies with that name, you need to add “baked milk” flavoring to the ingredients. If you don’t want to use this kind of additive, then you can do without it; the taste of baked milk in the cookies, of course, will not be as pronounced, but it will still turn out tasty and similar to real “baked milk” cookies.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients for the cookies. Place butter, softened at room temperature, in a bowl. We cut it into cubes with a knife. Add sugar and grind the ingredients with a spoon or beat with a blender or mixer.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sift the wheat flour, combine with baking powder and mix.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour three-quarters of the wheat flour into the bowl with the cream-sugar mixture. Grind the mass into crumbs.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat the chicken eggs into another bowl and add a pinch of salt. Beat them with a whisk or mixer until smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place two tablespoons of mayonnaise in a bowl with the egg mixture and add baked milk flavoring, mix thoroughly. This recipe requires mayonnaise; it cannot be replaced with sour cream. If you don’t want to use a ready-made store product, you can first make homemade mayonnaise.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the liquid mixture into a bowl with dry ingredients, add the remaining wheat flour and knead the dough. There is no need to knead the dough for a long time; we collect it into a ball.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Roll out the dough on a flour-dusted work surface into a thin layer, no more than 0.3 centimeters thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out cookies. Place the cookie dough in a baking pan lined with parchment. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

If desired, the cookies or part of them can be sprinkled with sesame seeds on top for beauty, but this is not necessary, it does not particularly affect the taste. Bake the cookies for no more than 15 minutes. It cannot be overdried. Remove the pan with cookies from the oven. Let the cookies cool directly on the parchment, then remove. Serve the cookies to the table with tea, coffee, milk or cocoa. Bon appetit!

I baked baked milk cookies. True, I don’t use flavorings; I’m quite happy with the natural aroma of shortcrust pastry))) The recipe is simple and quick. The dough is soft, pliable, kneads and rolls out easily. I rolled out two layers, about half a centimeter thick. I sprinkled one layer with sesame seeds and lightly rolled the top with a rolling pin so that the sesame seeds would stick better to the cookies. The second layer could be sprinkled with sugar on top and also lightly rolled with a rolling pin. But I was afraid that it would be too sweet. I shouldn't have been afraid. The dough for this recipe is moderately sweet. The cookies turned out crumbly and crispy. Very tasty with milk and tea. Thank you!
