  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake fish in sour cream? Prepare your food. Which fish is best? I cooked sea bream, but any will do: white or red (pink salmon, trout, hake, tilapia, halibut). Wash the fish, gut it, peel it, remove the gills and rinse well again. Dry with paper towels. If desired, sprinkle the fish with lemon juice. The set of spices can be supplemented or changed to suit your taste. Anise, basil, oregano powder, coriander are suitable.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Prepare onion-sour cream sauce. How to make sauce? Peel the onion, rinse with cold water and cut into thin rings.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the onion rings into a container and press lightly with your hands to release the juice. Add sour cream, spices, freshly ground black pepper and salt to the onion.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Mix everything well.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Coat the prepared fish carcass on both sides with sour cream mixture. Stuff it with onions. Place the remaining onion rings on top of the fish. To give the fish more flavor, you can marinate the fish in the resulting sauce in advance. After stuffing, do not immediately put it in the oven, but let it stand in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees in advance. Line a baking sheet or other heatproof pan with oiled parchment paper. Transfer the fish. Bake the dorada for about 40 minutes. During the baking process, the fish can be turned over to the other side, but this is not necessary. Baking time and temperature may differ from those indicated. Focus on the features of your technology. The finished fish will turn white, and a golden crust will form on top.

I was looking on my favorite website for what I could cook from whole fish. We were treated to fresh carp. I decided to cook a dish according to this recipe. I liked the baked fish in sour cream in the oven because of its ingredients. Sour cream and onions go well with fish. I cleaned the carp, cut off the head for my own reasons, salt and pepper, and added a little lemon seasoning for the fish. I did not sprinkle with lemon juice. Stuffed the carp with onion rings. I brushed it with sour cream and added chopped parsley to the sauce. I placed onion rings under the carp and on top. I baked the fish for 25 minutes at 180 C without turning it over. The aroma when baking was magical. This was the first time I cooked fish without lemon, and the result exceeded my expectations. Carp not only looks beautiful on a dish, it also has an incredible aroma and stunning taste. My fish is of course bony, but the taste is excellent. Sour cream sauce perfectly highlights the white fish meat. The onion was well baked and replaced our garnish. The onion that lay under the fish was especially tasty. The onion rings that were on top were crispy. Great recipe! I’ve added it to my treasure chest and recommend it to everyone to try! Many thanks to the author!
