Baked apples with cottage cheese, cinnamon under a crispy crust
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Everything is very simple and fast. I mix cottage cheese with sugar and cinnamon, and yolk. I mix everything well. If there are grains, you can break them through with a blender. I got such a beautiful, homogeneous mass. I put it aside. In the meantime, I’ll take care of the apples.

I cut off the top of apples

And with the help of a spoon I remove the core.

I fill the apples with cottage cheese. For convenience, I poured the curd mass into a pastry bag.

And I send it to a preheated oven at 160-165 degrees for 15 minutes. But it’s better to focus on your oven and the light golden crust.
STEP 7
In the meantime, I’ll prepare the meringue (meringue) for the apples in the oven. I ALWAYS beat the egg whites for meringue in a glass or metal bowl. Because plastic has the ability to absorb fat, and this is the first enemy of meringue. In a dry and clean bowl, beat the egg white with a pinch of salt until soft foam.

And then I gradually introduce sugar. This is the kind of glossy, stable meringue you should get.
STEP 9
For convenience, I transfer it into a pastry bag. And after the apples are slightly baked, I plant the meringue.
STEP 10
And again I put it in the oven, but already preheated to 120 degrees, and I will focus on a dry and crispy crust.

It took me 30 minutes to do this.

Let it cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar or cocoa if desired.
