  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake apples in yeast dough? Prepare the necessary ingredients to prepare the dough. Take the highest grade flour. Warm the water slightly. Wash the egg and dry with napkins.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sift the flour into a wide, stable bowl to enrich it with oxygen. Then the dough will be easy to rise, fluffy and airy.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Since flour has different properties, you may need more or less of it. Therefore, pour about 1/4 of the flour into another bowl; we will add it gradually when kneading the dough. Combine the rest of the flour with yeast, salt, sugar and vanillin. Mix everything well so that the dry ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the entire volume of flour.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour warm water into the flour and mix with a spoon.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add vegetable oil to the resulting mass and mix.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add the previously set aside flour in small portions while mixing the dough with your hands.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The dough should be soft, slightly sticky to your hands, but should hold its shape and not spread. If the dough is a little runny, add a little more flour, but do not overdo it so that the dough does not turn out too tight. Cover the dough with a towel and leave to rise.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

After about 50-60 minutes, the dough will rise, increasing in volume by 2-2.5 times.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Punch down the dough and place it on a table sprinkled with flour. Divide the dough into equal parts, based on the size of the apples. Roll into balls and cover with a light towel to prevent the dough from drying out.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

For the filling, take medium-sized apples, sweet or slightly sour. It is desirable that the pulp is not hard. Wash and dry the apples in advance.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Roll out part of the dough into a thin round cake.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Using a small knife, cut a hole in the top of the apple and remove the core, making sure not to cut through to the bottom of the apple.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Place the apple in the middle of the rolled out tortilla.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Sprinkle sugar inside the apple to taste, depending on the sweetness of the fruit.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Raise the edges of the cake over the apple, forming folds.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Bring the edges of the dough together like a pouch and press the dough well over the apple. Wrap all the apples in the dough in the same way.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

In a small bowl, combine the egg and milk, beat lightly with a fork until smooth.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

On a baking sheet lined with parchment, place the apples in the dough at a distance from each other, as the dough will rise during baking. Using a pastry brush, brush the apples on all sides with the beaten egg.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Bake the apples in an oven preheated to 180C for 35-40 minutes until the apples are golden brown and soft. Cooking time will depend on the size and properties of the fruit. To make sure the apples are done, pierce the side of the dough with a skewer. If the apple is soft, you can remove it. If the dough is already browned and the apple is not yet baked, cover the top of the baked goods with a layer of foil. The baking mode may differ, as it depends on the operating characteristics of the oven.

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

I made some of the apples without sugar and served them with honey. Delicious! Bon appetit!

Thanks to the author for a healthy dessert. The apples can be wrapped in ready-made puff pastry, it’s easier.

How I love baking with apples! Pies, charlotte, pancakes... But the trick of this recipe is that the apples are baked whole! It’s so nice to taste the not completely lost crunch of a juicy and sweet apple. I made the yeast dough and it rose well in the warmth. I removed the seeds from the fruits. I wrapped the apples in rolled out dough, greased them and set them to bake. I did not add sugar, since there is sugar in both the dough and the apples themselves. Apples baked in yeast dough in the oven turned out incredibly tasty. Unlike the original apples, mine turned out to be fat!)
