Apple and Cinnamon Yeast Rolls
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make apple and cinnamon rolls from yeast dough? Prepare the ingredients for the test. A different amount of flour and milk may be needed, check the consistency of the dough. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. Also, take out the egg in advance. Take fast-acting yeast.
STEP 2
Take a bowl and sift the flour into it. By doing this you will not only remove possible debris, but also saturate it with oxygen, which will make the baked goods more airy. Add sugar, vanillin (I use vanilla sugar), salt and dry yeast into the flour. Stir dry ingredients until smooth.
STEP 3
Pour warm milk into the flour. Warm it up a little first, but not until it’s hot - this milk will kill the yeast. Beat in the egg. Mix flour with milk and egg.
STEP 4
Then add soft butter. If you do not have time to do this, then put the oil in the microwave for a few seconds.
STEP 5
Stir the butter into the dough. And now you will see what he lacks - flour or liquid. If the dough is very sticky, add more flour; if it is too dry, add a little more milk. Knead the dough until completely homogeneous. It will become smooth, elastic and stop sticking.
STEP 6
Gather the dough into a ball, cover the bowl and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour. During this time, the dough will increase slightly in volume. But not much, since it contains a lot of oil. After an hour, knead it and leave for another hour.
STEP 7
Prepare the ingredients for the filling. Choose fragrant apples. I used cane sugar, but regular white sugar will do. Add cinnamon to taste.
STEP 8
Wash the apples, cut into quarters and remove the core and seeds. Grate the slices on a coarse grater.
STEP 9
Turn on the oven to 180 degrees. Knead the risen dough a little on the table, then roll it into a rectangle about 5mm thick.
STEP 10
Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle this mixture over the resulting layer. Place grated apples on top. Don't be confused by the fact that there aren't many apples - they will give a lot of juice when combined with sugar. Roll the dough into a roll and secure the edge.
STEP 11
Cut the roll into discs 4-5 cm thick.
STEP 12
Cover a baking sheet with parchment. Place the buns on it, cut side up. Lightly beat the egg for brushing with a fork.
STEP 13
Brush the tops of the buns with beaten egg.
STEP 14
Bake the buns in the oven, preheated to 180°C, for 30 to 40 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. The buns should be golden. Remove the finished buns from the oven and cool.
STEP 15
Serve the buns with milk or tea. Bon appetit!
