Yeast buns roses with apples in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake yeast rose buns with apples in the oven? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients to prepare the dough. Vanillin can be replaced with a packet of vanilla sugar.
STEP 2
Mix yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar, pour in warm milk and stir. The milk should be warm, but not scalding. In cold milk the yeast will not activate; if it is too hot it will die. Leave the yeast for 20 minutes until a “cap” forms.
STEP 3
Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave. Let it cool a little.
STEP 4
Beat the egg with salt and sugar until smooth.
STEP 5
Add the appropriate yeast and stir.
STEP 6
Pour in the melted butter and stir again.
STEP 7
Sift the flour with vanilla twice. This will enrich it with air and the dough will rise better. Pour the flour into the liquid mixture in parts, stirring at the same time. You shouldn’t pour out all the flour at once; you may need a little less.
STEP 8
Knead into a soft, pliable dough that is slightly sticky to your hands. Leave in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour, covering the bowl with a towel to prevent the dough from airing.
STEP 9
Prepare all the necessary ingredients to prepare the filling. Also turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.
STEP 10
Remove the zest from half an orange and squeeze the juice out of it.
STEP 11
Peel the apples and remove seeds, cut them into small cubes.
STEP 12
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add sugar, orange zest and juice, stir. Boil the resulting mass until the sugar dissolves.
STEP 13
Add the apples and simmer over medium heat, stirring until soft.
STEP 14
5 minutes before cooking, sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and stir. Place the finished filling in a suitable sized container and let cool.
STEP 15
During this time the dough has risen well. When I transferred it to the table, it even sank a little, but that’s okay.
STEP 16
Place the dough on a table sprinkled with flour. Roll the sausage and divide it into 10 equal parts.
STEP 17
Roll each part of the dough into a round cake, place the filling in the middle (about a full tablespoon). Make 4 cuts at 90 degrees, without cutting to the middle of the cake.
STEP 18
To form a “rose,” lift one corner of the dough and cover the filling with it.
STEP 19
Then fold the second corner of the dough around the filling in the same way.
STEP 20
Repeat the same steps with all corners. At the same time, slightly press the tips of the corners of the dough to the base of the “rose” so that the buns do not unfold during baking.
STEP 21
This is how the bun turns out.
STEP 22
Place the formed buns on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment. Brush the tops of the buns with beaten egg.
STEP 23
Bake the buns in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until golden brown. Allow the finished baked goods to cool. Dust the buns with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your tea!
