Turkish buns with butter

Simple, but so tasty that you want to eat more! Turkish butter buns are wonderfully reminiscent of French croissants. They can be served for breakfast with morning drinks: tea, milk, coffee, cocoa. Rosy, fluffy and delicious!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Turkish buns with butter? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. First, prepare the yeast dough. Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk; the milk must be warm and not scalding, otherwise the yeast in it will die. Leave the milk-yeast mixture for 10-15 minutes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

During this time, a foamy cap should form on the yeast. If this does not happen, then the yeast will have to be replaced.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add the remaining warm milk and salt to the yeast. Mix everything until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sift 500 g of flour into the yeast mixture. Knead into a sticky dough. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished buns will turn out airier and fluffier.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add vegetable oil and mix it well into the dough. It will no longer be so sticky.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add the remaining flour in parts and finally knead the dough. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Form the dough into a ball.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cover the bowl with the dough with a napkin or cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for an hour and a half.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave and cool to room temperature.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Punch down the risen dough and divide the dough into small pieces. Make a small thin cake from each piece.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Brush the flatbread with melted butter.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Roll the flatbread into a roll.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Stretch it a little in length, twist it into a spiral and connect both ends, forming a circle. Make the same blanks from the entire dough.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Beat the egg for brushing with a fork, whisk or silicone brush in a small bowl.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article, the link is at the end of the recipe. Leave the buns for 10-15 minutes, then brush them with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and black cumin. Place the buns in an oven preheated to 180° for 20-25 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Remove the finished buns from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Enjoy your tea!

My first yeast baked goods ever!!!! To say that it is easy and tasty is to say nothing.... These buns are simply super..... Very easy to prepare...... The buns turn out airy...... Half of the buns are eaten almost hot in half an hour .....The aroma in the apartment when preparing this miracle is simply magical........I can say that the recipe called for sprinkling the buns with poppy seeds, but my daughter generously sprinkled them with cinnamon........ ..That doesn’t make them any worse...... Believe me...... They are made very easily, from available products, and they turn out very tasty

I got buns!! The main thing is to do everything according to the recipe. Personally, it took me 600 grams of flour.
