Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare turkey with prunes we will need: 500 g turkey fillet

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the turkey, dry it, remove the membranes and cut into medium pieces. I used thigh fillet - this meat turns out a little softer and fattier. But you can also replace it with breast fillet.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rinse pitted prunes. It is best to check prunes for the absence of seeds or their fragments, because it very often happens that their particles remain in the fruit and this is discovered in the midst of a meal and sometimes with not the best consequences for the teeth. Therefore, it is better to check everything in advance. If the prunes are too hard, you can pour boiling water over them and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water and dry the dried fruits on a towel.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the garlic. Cut large cloves lengthwise into 2-3 pieces. Leave the small ones whole.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

In a bowl, combine turkey fillet and prunes. Add vegetable oil, honey, salt and pepper. It is better to take liquid or semi-liquid honey, which has not yet had time to completely sugar and harden. Then it will spread better through the meat. If the honey has hardened, it is better to first melt it in the microwave or oven and cool it.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix everything and leave the meat to marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator or 1 hour at room temperature.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place turkey with prunes in a baking dish. Place the garlic cloves on top. Place the pan with the turkey in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake the meat for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Periodically baste the turkey with any juices from the bottom of the pan.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

You can serve turkey with prunes with any side dish. Bon appetit!

I prepared it strictly according to the recipe. The turkey turned out to be aromatic (you could feel the garlic) and the prunes went in very well)) Thank you for the recipe.
