Turkey hedgehogs with rice

STEP 1
How to make turkey hedgehogs with rice? Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2
Take the rice, rinse thoroughly several times in cold water until the water runs clear.
STEP 3
Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a medium or coarse grater.
STEP 4
In a convenient, deep bowl, combine ground turkey, rice, grated carrots, salt and pepper. If you wish, you can add dried Provencal herbs, chopped fresh herbs or other favorite spices to the minced meat.
STEP 5
Knead the minced meat thoroughly with your hands so that all ingredients are well mixed.
STEP 6
With your hands soaked in cold water, form the resulting minced meat into round balls of the same size. They should be slightly larger than a walnut.
STEP 7
Dissolve tomato paste in broth. Instead of broth, you can use clean, filtered water.
STEP 8
Place the hedgehogs in a deep baking dish.
STEP 9
Pour in broth with tomato paste.
STEP 10
Cover the baking dish with foil so that the sauce does not evaporate and the hedgehogs are juicier. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes. The times are approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.
STEP 11
Serve the hedgehogs hot before they cool. You can use potatoes, pasta or vegetable salad as a side dish, but even without additions this is an excellent dish! Bon appetit!
