    How to make tuna salad with avocado? Prepare your ingredients. Transfer the fish from the jar to a bowl. Break into small pieces with a fork. How to choose the right canned tuna? On the lid of the jar (and not on the label) there should be a marking with the fishing industry index - the letter “P”. The ingredients should only include tuna and salt. Buy fillets or fillet pieces. Do not take “salad tuna”, as it is minced meat made from ground bones, entrails and skin.

    Wash the vegetables and dry with paper towels. Cut the tomatoes into small cubes. Choose tomatoes that are fleshy, juicy, and dense. When cut, soft fruits will lose their shape, which will ruin the appearance of the salad, and they will also release excess liquid. If the skin of cucumbers is thin and not bitter, it is not necessary to peel it. Cut them into 4 parts and cut into small squares.

    Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Any variety will do, for example, Iceberg lettuce, Boston lettuce, watercress. Tear it into small pieces with your hands. It is important not to cut with a knife, as leaf lettuce quickly darkens, withers and loses vitamins when it comes into contact with metal.

    Wash the avocado, cut in half, remove the pit. Peel off the skin. Cut the pulp into long thin strips. It is better to peel the fruit in this order, because after removing the skin, the surface of the avocado becomes slippery and you can easily cut yourself when trying to remove the pit.

    In a suitable sized salad bowl, combine the prepared ingredients (avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce).

    Squeeze the juice of half a lemon using your preferred method. Pour it over the salad. Season with vegetable oil. Which olive oil is suitable for salads? Take unrefined oil, which is obtained by cold pressing olives (Extra Virgin Olive Oil). This oil will give the dish a richer aroma and taste.

    Place fish pieces on top. Serve immediately before the vegetables become soggy and release their juice.

I really like salads. I found a recipe on the website - tuna salad with avocado and decided to make it. I bought canned tuna minced in oil. I also took fresh vegetables and lettuce. The cooking process is very simple and fast. First, I divided the avocado in half, took out the pit, then peeled and cut into slices. I cut the cucumber and tomato as described in the recipe. I also added finely chopped garlic. Placed fresh lettuce leaves on a plate. I put vegetables on top, and at the end I added tuna and peppered it a little. Since tuna is quite salty, I did not use salt in the salad. And I didn’t add oil, since the tuna was already with oil. It turned out to be a great quick salad. All ingredients complement each other perfectly. The fish salad turned out to be aromatic, satisfying, bright and very appetizing. Served as a separate dish for a light dinner. Wonderful recipe!
