An unusual and tasty combination of tomatoes and carrot tops. Surprisingly, tomatoes in carrot tops turn out very tasty, and the marinade is drunk first.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

For a three-liter jar. Wash tomatoes and fresh carrot tops.
STEP 2

Place tops, garlic, allspice, and bay leaf on the bottom of the jar.
STEP 3

Prick the tomatoes with a toothpick to prevent the skin from bursting from the boiling water.
STEP 4

Place the prepared tomatoes in jars. Prepare the marinade: dissolve sugar and salt in 1.5 liters of water. Pour a boiling solution into a jar of tomatoes, add vinegar essence, and cover with a boiled lid.
STEP 5

Place the jar in a saucepan with warm water, bring to a boil and sterilize for 10 minutes.
STEP 6

Roll up the jar, turn it over and wrap it up.

I do not sterilize the tomatoes; I use a double pour when pickling. This way they are less susceptible to “cooking” and softening, and are stored perfectly!
